Works great This lock was very easy to install. And it's even easier for our staff to use. Works great. The only flaw (ever so slight) was that the wrong latch type was sent. Luckily, being rounded, it still worked fine. We didn't need it to be perfect so we didn't contact customer service for an exchange. July 4, 2011
Great Product The best invention ever, no more packing keys and family member (the ones you give the code to) can get in. Codes can be changed so thats great too. Love this product, I have one on every door. I would recommend highly. August 7, 2010

How far should the door hole center is from the edge of the door

A. Thank you for your question. The Schlage FE575-PLY-ELA can be used with backsets (the distance between the middle of the hole and the edge of the door) of either 2-3/4" or 2-3/8".

It mentions that there's "no programming required" and that it comes shipped with two user codes. Does this mean the lock isn't reprogrammable? What happens if I need to change the code?

A. The Schlage FE575-PLY-ELA does not have a lock box accessory.

A. The Schlage FE575-PLY-ELA can not have the autolock feature disabled. The FE595-PLY-ELA has the feature to turn off the auto-lock feature.
