Attractive, High Quality Handle Set. I wanted to install a bright brass finished Schlage electronic locking deadbolt to replace the dingy-looking one that was on the door, when I got the house. To match that set, I choose the matching handle set, since the old hardware was a handle set, rather than just a door knob. The old one was dingy and corroded as well. The combination of the new deadbolt and door handle set really makes that dark green front door jump out at you. I even put 2 solar powered LED lights to shine on the hardware after dark. Those pieces are finished just perfectly and they work terrifically. You may read my review of the electronic push-button dead bolt set to learn some good reasons why you might want to install one too. Both sets are available in a variety of finishes. Does left handed mean it is applied on the left side of the door? I am using it on a double exterior door. I'm applying it to the right side of the left door (when you are looking at the door from outside).

A. You can determine what handing by standing on the outside of the door and looking at what side the hinges are on. If the hinges are on the right side, the handing is also right. If they are on the left, then it is left handing.

Is the antique brass finish a solid brass or a plated brass?
