Deadbolt Features:

  • Utilizes the new B-Series deadbolt with increased security and easier installation!
  • 1/2" of bolt left in housing when bolt is thrown for added kick-in resistance.
  • Integrated anti-pick shield with Snap & Stay™ self adjusting tension provides added security and simplifies installation
  • 1" Edge bore door preparation required for larger bolt housing
  • Zinc bolt has hardened steel pin inside that spins in response to sawing attacks which prevents cutting or sawing
  • Bolt diameter is 10% larger than typical bolts for maximum kick-in resistance
  • Adjustable backset with the industry's only helical design that locks into place with no adjusting during installation
  • Works for both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" backsets.
  • ADA compliant thumb turn
  • Faceplates (Part 12-326): Supplied with 1/4" Round Corner, Square Corner and Drive-In Faceplates
  • Strike Plates (Part 10-269): Supplied with a Round Corner Deadbolt Strike (10-116), Square Corner Full Lip Strike Plate (10-026) and Round Corner Full Lip Strike Plate (10-027) with Dimensions of 2-1/4" x 1-5/8"

I need a 5 inch backset extension for this lock. Is it available? What is the part number?

A. Thank you for your question. The Schlage F58-PLY is only available stock with a 2 3/4" or 2 3/8" backset. But the 16-126 5" replacement deadlatch for the F-Series can be purchased separately.

Does this lock have the SecureKey rekey function?

A. The Schlage F58-PLY does not have the secure key feature. The secure key version is F58-PLY-SK.

Is this a complete set or is the inside knob sold separately?

A. Thank you for your question. The Schlage F58-PLY is the exterior set only. Once you have added this to your cart, you will be prompted to select the interior set you prefer. I hope this helps!

On the interior I have selected the door handle, but what about the dead bolt turn lever on the interior? Does this come with what selection the F58-PLY or my lever selcetion?

A. The Schlage F58-PLY is the exterior trim. Once you add it to the cart you select the interior handle and finish. The dead bolt turn will be the matching finish to the interior handle selected.

does the f58ply include a door lever for the "other side"?

A. You will need to select a finish and keying option for the F58-PLY then add to cart and complete step 1 (select interior handle) to receive a complete set. Otherwise, you will just receive the exterior trim if you order the F58-ply.

Are there measurements avaialble so that I can be sure the holes and plates will "line up" as I wish to avoid extra work?

A. The Schlage F58-PLY has a 2-1/8 size hole. The complete measurements are on the installation guide that is available on this page and is included with the product.

What is the height of the handleset not including deadbolt?

A. The Schlage F58-PLY handle measures 12 13/32" tall (not including the deadbolt).

Is this a 6-pin for Master key (6 pin)/Resident key (5 pin). If not, can you get this in 6-pin? If not, what similary product in Schlage do you recommend to be? We are replacing our F358 Plymouth 6-pin lock.

A. The Schlage F58-PLY is a five pin keyway just like all Schlage keyways. Kwikset offers a 5/6 keyway which may fit your needs.

Is it possible to re-key Schlage exterior lock so I can use my current keys? I have Master locks

A. The Schlage F58-PLY can be keyed to any schlage key code.
